Big Shot Works Wonders with fabric!

Look at the pretty flower pin I made! My talented downline (a demonstrator on my team) guided us through this fun project at out last demonstrator meeting.
It is super simple! Just use the Stampin' Up! Flower Folds XL die for the Big Shot to cut 4 pieces of fabric, layer them and adhere them together. I sewed mine together, but you can also use a glue gun to put the layers together.
Once I wash this, it will take on a shabby-chic look. I'll be wearing this at Holland Happenings next weekend. Come check it out!

Two-Step into Spring!

From April 1-30 you can purchase a stamp set that will
appear in the 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalog!

Awash with Flowers - a set of 18 stamps is available for $39.95 for Wood-Mounted or $27.95 for Clear-Mounted
OR... you can earn this set for FREE when you host a $350 or more workshop!
With the clear-mounted option, 2-step stampin' just got a whole lot easier! I stamped this card without using a stamp-a-ma-jig. The images are not meant to match up perfectly, so there is less stress about stamp placement.

In addition to this great set, 4 other stamp sets will be 20% off in the month of April: Greenhouse Garden (p. 94), Fifth Avenue Floral (p. 98), Flower Fancy (p. 101) and Trendy Trees (p. 112).

So let's get 2-steppin' into spring!

Have you seen Stampin' Up!'s latest addition to the Decor Element family? The insert is titled, "Definitely Decorative" and they are!
There are chalkboard vinyl elements, new colors, kid-themed, teen-themed, All in the Family Accessories (I got the miscellaneous ones: glasses, skate board, tiara, etc.). You will love the newest phrases. They will add to any home decor without any long-term commitment (ie. you can remove them when you are tired of them without ruining your walls). There are some new stencils, too.
If you want a brochure, just let me know!

Happy Easter!!!

So usually we make an Easter Bunny cake... This year, Katy Decided she wanted an Easter Egg cake. So I started with a 9"X13" carrot cake, carved it to look something like an egg and handed the girls some candy and sprinkles...
That is a very colorful Easter Egg, if I do say so myself!
So I had to get a picture of the artists with their handiwork!

Happy Easter to each of you!

He is risen!

Advertise with the Big Shot and Vinyl!

My dear friend wanted to promote the 24-7 Moms. com group that she write for. So when I told her that she could put the web address on her car, she thought that would be perfect! I used my Big shot, some of Stampin' up!'s great vinyl and my Sizzix alphabet and number dies... and Voila! We had instant advertising! I'll be posting my blog address to my car right after Easter (when I remove the snowflakes).

Stamp-a-Stack Cards (March 2010)

Here are some cards that we made at this month's Stamp-a-Stack. Don't know what that is? Well, it is just as the name suggests - we stamp a stack of cards. I provide all supplies but the adhesive. I usually have 5 designed cards or projects each month for $15.
This first card is one of my recent favorites. I used the "faux silk" technique with the hostess set, "Asian Artistry". not a difficult card, but I think it is stunning (the photo really doesn't do it justice).
Next was an even simpler card - just a piece of DSP, some ribbon and a stamped sentiment. I used Chocolate Chip c/s, Sending Love DSP, 5/8" Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon, and "Well Scripted" with the wide oval punch.

This sweet butterfly card features the Beautiful Wings embosslit for the Sizzix Big Shot along with the new Scallop Trim border and corner punches. Once again, just a stamped sentiment and you're in business!

I "borrowed" the next card design from the Occasions Mini catalog. I changed up the colors and a few other elements. I used Sage Shadow, Bravo Burgundy and Pretty in Pink.

This was also from the Occasions Mini - page 5. It gave us a chance to use the water color wonder crayons with the blender pens.

I hold stamp-a-stacks each month on the first full weekend. The next one will be Easter Weekend. Friday the 2nd from 6:30pm-9pm and Saturday, April 3rd from 10am - noon.
