May Stamp-a-Stack Cards

Here are 2 of the cards we made this month at my stamp-a-stack. The first one uses the Reinker Watercolor technique that was shown at the Seattle Regional. I was dying to try this, but don't have the Manhattan Rose that was shown to us. So I looked through my stamps and found my Embrace Life set - it turned out wonderfully!
Ingredients: Kiwi Kiss, Tangerine tango and Shimmery White c/s; Embrace Life Stamp set; Whisper White craft ink, Kiwi Kiss, Riding Hood Red, Tangerine Tango and Summer Sun Classic ink or reinkers, Clear embossing powder, Heat tool, white organza ribbon and stampin' dimensionals.
Directions: Just stamp your image in Craft white ink on Shimmery White c/s then heat emboss. Once you have done this, spray the paper until it has puddles. Dip your Aquapainter in the ink and then touch it to the water on the c/s - the color will spread and disperse in the water. Add a couple more colors for a beautiful finish. You can either let the color air dry or use a paper towel and heat gun to dry it faster. Cut out and add to your card or project.

This next card was a fun birthday card. We used bright colors and the Big Shot.
Ingredients: Whisper White, Green Galore, Pink Passion and Pixie Pink c/s; Bitty Birthday and A Little Birthday Cheer stamp sets; Sizzix Big Shot and Big bold Cupcakes dies,Crimper, Stampin' Dimensionals, Crystal Affects, Scallop Edge Punch.

Welcome to the newest members of my Stampin' Up! Team!!!

OK... so I am a little behind - hopefully, I will get the hang of this blogging stuff soon. (Michelle is SO much better at this than I am...)

So, on April 18th (yes, 2009... I'm not that behind) I had the pleasure of attending the Seattle Stampin' Up! Regional Conference. I went with 2 other demonstrators in my downline and came home with 3 new members!!! WOW!

So Congrats to Jane Purin for joining my team! And a big congrats to Michelle Webster and Barb Bockman for their newest recruits - Lynnette Sousa and Debby Bockman, respectively. I am so happy to have each and every one of you on my team!

Next post I promise will include pictures. I am holding a great class called Scrapping In & Out of the Box tomorrow... I'll post some pics of that.

God Bless!
Becca =)

Holland Happening...

... it really was! I teamed up with Michelle Webster to spread the word about Stampin' Up! This past weekend at Oak Harbor's Holland Happening. What a fun weekend! We met a great number of wonderful stampers - and think they "might could be" stampers - while enjoying some uncommon, but beautiful weather.

We were even approached and asked to join other vending venues this summer! So be on the lookout for us at upcoming events. Hopefully by then, the newest members of my team will be ready to join the fun.

Faux Silk Class

This is the class I am holding this week. It uses the faux silk technique -
stamped tissue paper crumpled and adhered to neutral card stock.
I got the planner from Class in a Flash - they offer some great class plans. I am very excited about this class. It is so pretty and a great way to spend an evening!

Product used: Raspberry Tart DSP, Kiwi Kiss satin ribbon, Sweet Stems stamp set, and the new wide oval punch.

This Month's Stamp-a-Stack, in case you missed it

Here are some pictures of the cards we did for this month's stamp-a-stack. This first one is a St. Patrick's day card using the SAB set, Polka Dot Punches and the new textured plates for the Big Shot. I had fun playing with inking my plate before embossing the paper. It is a neat effect!
This rest were birthday cards - this one uses A Flower for All Seasons. I love the frog!
This next one uses two SAB sets:Botanical Blooms and Congrats. I was brave with this one did not use my stamp-a-ma-jig.
I needed to make a birthday card for my aunt, and I specifically got this hostess set for that reason - she likes roosters. =)

I case'd the basics of this card and cannot even remember from where... but it uses the Raspberry Tart DSP and and the scallop Circle die for the Big Shot. The stamp set used is the Petal Pizazz.

I hope you enjoyed seeing the recent cards we have been making. If you want more information, just email me and I'll help you out any way I can.
